Should I have a spray tan for my wedding?

Spray tans are a fantastic way to get and maintain a healthy-looking, even tan without being exposed to the sun. They are sprayed onto the body and left to develop for 2 – 8 hours depending on the type of product.

Having a spray tan for your wedding is a personal decision which I suggest making at least a month before your wedding. By deciding a few weeks prior to your wedding, this gives you time to trial the tan, unless you have them regularly.

Trialling the product is import to ensure you are happy with the colour and you don’t react to the product, as these aren’t things you want to discover 2 days before the big day. When trialling the tan ensure the person spraying you will be available the week of your wedding.

My preferred tan is Naked Tan, as it has a 2 hour development time rather than 6-8 hours, the colour is great not orange, and it smells yum.

My tips for wedding tanning:

· Trial the tan first

· Don’t got to dark – a natural glow is far more attractive

· Avoid orange tans

· Exfoliate your body every few days leading up to the tan

· Wear lose dark clothes to your appointment

· If possible shower before your appointment

· Take your thongs/flip flops to wear after your appointment

· Moisturise your body daily to get the most from your tan

· Don’t be shy, spray tanners have seen it all

Airbrush makeup is makeup sprayed onto the skin using an airbrush instead of being applied by conventional methods of a brush or sponge.

Foundation is custom blended and sprayed through an airbrush gun directly onto the skin. The product is distributed evenly in a very fine spray. This method gives a flawless finish while using less product than conventional application, generally around 6-9 drops of product per face.

Airbrushing is fantastic for all skin types including, uneven skin tone, redness, pigmentation, blemishes and rosacea giving a clean, natural, light-weight and flawless finish.

Airbrushing is used for HD television and digital photography.

Anna the gorgeous Bride

I had the pleasure of doing both hair and makeup for Anna's wedding day. Anna came to me through a recommendation of a past bride, thanks very much Ramsey.

The hair and makeup preparations started at a reasonable hour 7.30am. I arrived got set up and straight into hair and makeup.

With two bridesmaids Kate and Julia the decision was left to them as to how their hair and makeup was done.

Kate choose a smooth sleek look while opting for minimal makeup, false lashes were applied to bring out her eyes and the skin was airbrushed to give a flawless finish.

Julia wanted a softer hair style while still being smooth; she came with some great pictures as inspiration. A smokey eye was applied to Julia along with false lashes and the skin was airbrushed for the same flawless finish.

Anna’s trial was the Wednesday before the wedding as she travelled from interstate. She wore an amazing fascinator with an attached veil, the fascinator worked perfectly with the smooth style chosen. Peach tones were applied to enhance her blue eyes, false lashes to open them, the skin airbrushed and a soft pink on her lips.

You looked amazing Anna, Kate and Julia.
